The congregation was founded by Mo. Edeltraud Danner, OSB in
1931 in Baguio City which combines contemplative and missionary
life. We follow the Holy Rule of St. Benedict and the Benedictine
Tradition, thus, we are called Benedictines.
Our Central House is in Cubao, Quezon City, Mother House in
Nagtagaan, Damortis, La Union and priories in Vigan City, Calapan
City and Davao City where the Formation House is located. We
have mission stations in the different parts of Luzon, Mindanao
and also abroad: Israel, Belgium, Germany and Hawaii.
Our Vision is Glorification of God through Christ, the Eucharistic
King in all things at all times. Our common life is expressed in
praying and working in community, sharing the common goods and
mutual service in joy and in pain.
We participate in the mission of the Church through Biblical,
Liturgical, Catechetical and other Pastoral ministries, depending in
the place where we are: like prison ministry and with the specially
We also give retreats, recollections and counselling. We have a
school for the formation of catechists in Vigan and kindergarten
schools in Vigan, Calapan and Davao City. We also manage retreat houses

The candidate is still with the family. It could be that she is still a student or working but cannot decide yet when to enter. We encourage the candidate to stay with the community for some days or during weekends especially for those who are planning to enter soon, for her to be more acquainted with the community. Interviews and home visitations are usually conducted in this stage.
Here the candidate decides to enter the community. She stops giving financial support to the family. She stays with us and formal formation begins. They have regular lessons and follow-up with the in-charge or we call it Postulant Mistress.
Here the candidate receives her habit (dress as a sister) and is given a new name, after the name of a saint. She is already called by her religious name but she has no vows yet. After two years, if she feels that she is happy in this kind of life and determine to go on, she will apply for First Profession of Vows.
She is a temporary professed sister – with vows of Obedience, Conversion of Life which includes poverty and chastity and Stability. After one year of preparation, she will be sent to any of the houses or mission stations of the congregation. She renews her vows every year.
She is a full-pledge member of the congregation. She commits her life forever to God.
